4 Causes of Eye Wrinkles

Wrinkles appearing near the eyes are horrifying. It gives others the impression that you are growing old. But there are some bad habits that we do follow that cause the appearance of these lines near our eyes.

Check out the 4 habits that encourage our eyes to wrinkle up:

  1. Not applying SPF-A sun block is essential to keep out the harmful rays of the sun. UV rays of the sun harm our skin’s collagen and cause them to wrinkle faster. So liberally slather SPF on your face at all times to prevent your face from showing signs of aging.
  2. Not wearing sunglasses-Sunglasses not only protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun but it also prevents you from squinting. Squinting encourages your skin to crinkle up and thereby leads to the formation of lines near the eye.
  3. Rubbing your eyes-When we are tired or exhausted we tend to rub our eyes. This action has unknowingly become our habit. No doubt it feels good, but it causes your skin to stretch and thereby lead to wrinkles.
  4. Sleeping on your face-When you sleep on your face, your skin gets crushed and results in the formation of creases that in turn encourage wrinkles to form.Try sleeping on your back to prevent damaging your face.

So now that you know the common mistakes we make that lead to eye wrinkles, try to avoid them as much as possible for younger looking healthy skin.
