Tips to drink water and cut down weight

Drink water before and after meals

Start your meals by drinking adequate amount of water. Water will cut down your appetite and hunger. People tend to eat more when they feel hungry and don’t know when to stop to maintain optimum weight of their body. By drinking water you tend to eat lesser and in adequate amounts. Drinking water after meals helps to digest the food faster. When food digests quickly it is less likely to convert into fat and toxins in the body.

Substitute sodas with water while drinking

Whether you are drinking lemon soda or alcohol beverage, use water instead of soda. A simple glass of lemonade gives you the same taste of a fizzed lemon drink. However water does not have the sugars that soda can contain. Water mixes well with most alcoholic drinks so use it water to top up your drinks.  Water flushes out the harmful chemicals of the body which eventually lead to weight gain.  As the toxins are flushed out your body becomes leaner and fit.

Water diet and weight loss

It is recommended that a person drinks at least 8 glasses of water in a day. However, when you want to switch to a water diet you should aim at drinking 4 liters of water every day. Water does not directly cause weight loss however it speeds up the process of weight loss. While you are drinking plenty of water it is also important to maintain a healthy diet for weight loss.

Water is kidney friendly and helps the kidneys to excrete food and toxins efficiently. A human kidney finds it difficult to excrete rich foods that are high in sugars, salt and proteins. Water makes this process easy for the kidneys.  It is recommended that a person drinks a huge glass of water when they wake up in the morning. Drinking water as the first thing in the morning will help to flush out the toxins from the previous day. Your body is clean and prepared for the next day.  A consistent water diet for a month can help you lose at least 2 pounds.
