10 Steps To Makeup Removal

At the end of a long day, when you get back home from a party or function, you may feel too tired to remove all your makeup before getting into bed. Leaving makeup on your skin for the whole night can damage your skin, resulting in acne, collagen breakdown, and skin allergies.  But do you know how to remove your makeup properly? Several makeup removers can remove your makeup or you may use natural ingredients too. Come let’s take a look at it!!!

How to Remove Makeup

Everyone likes a fresh start right!! Removing makeup after a long day can be a huge task. But, you’re going to do the ultimate favor to your skin by taking off your makeup at night. Read on to learn the ten effective ways to remove your makeup.

1. Use Makeup Remover Wipes

Makeup remover wipes help you get rid of impurities, and excess oil from your skin. Your skin may look more moisturized and hydrated by using these wipes. Make sure that your wipes don’t have any alcohol content to avoid skin irritations and other skin-related problems.

How to Use?

  • Gently rub the wipes on your skin pleasantly.
  • Start from the bottom of your face and then move outwards

2. Cleansing

Cleansing is the most important step in removing your makeup. The cleanser helps you remove all your heavy makeup like mascara, eyeshadow, and eyeliner without harsh rubbing. You can cover your hairline and under the chin area once you massage your face with a cleanser. Make sure you use a mild cleanser, which is free from paraben and sulfate.

3. Using a Toner

After cleansing your face with a mild cleanser, you can use toner to remove excess makeup and tone your skin. Add a few drops of toner on a cotton pad and gently wipe off your skin. It may help you remove hard makeup as well as hydrate your skin

4. Cleanse Your Hairline

Makeup is nothing without foundation!!! The foundation you apply all over your face may spread on your hairline too. So, it is mandatory to remove your makeup from that area too.

5. Pay Extra Care to Your Eye

You should cleanse the edges of your eyelids to avoid any eye irritation. Do you know how to remove waterproof eyeliner safely? If you are applying any waterproof liquid eyeliners to your eyes, you can remove them using natural oils, eye makeup remover, and wipes. Gently use a cotton pad soaked with a makeup remover on your eyelids for instant removal.  Removing eye makeup properly helps you from dark circles and keeps your eyes healthy.

6. Micellar Water

Micellar water is a gentle skin cleanser, that contains micelles, and tiny clusters of molecules that work. Those who want to double cleanse your face can directly go for it. It works for both oily and sensitive skin. Add a few drops of micellar water solution on a cotton pad and swipe it all across your face. And it is portable and convenient.

7. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil will remove your makeup like magic. It is a natural and effective way to remove your makeup, including stubborn waterproof makeup. Apply a small amount of coconut oil to a cotton pad or use your fingertips, and massage gently on your face, wash it off with water, and rinse it with a wet cloth.

8. Face Steam

You can have a facial steam once cleansing is done!! Facial steam helps you remove makeup from the open pores and clean your face from hidden impurities. First, you can take a bowl of hot water and steam for 2 to 3 minutes. This process helps you detach makeup particles and also brighten up your skin.

9. Cucumber Therapy

Cucumber is a natural ingredient that has a lot of skin benefits. After cleansing your eye makeup, place a piece of cucumber on your eyelids, which helps your eyes to soothe puffiness and it reduces the dark circles on your face. You can also use homemade cucumber paste for spot-free glowing skin

10. Raw Milk

Raw milk can act as an effective cleansing agent as it has lactic acid, which helps exfoliate your skin from the presence of impurities. It is a harmless makeup remover that acts as a natural moisturizer. Take a cotton ball and soak it in raw milk for 5 minutes. Later, you can wipe your face with it and wash it off with lukewarm water.

Hope this blog makes your makeup removal easy. Make it a routine to remove your makeup before bed. At the same time, you should remove them properly so that you don’t have skin irritations. It is advisable to use chemical-free makeup removers and products to get clean and glowing skin.
